Gretchen Robertson

Gretchen Robertson is a transpersonal integrative psychotherapist whose work sits at the intersection of menopause, skin health and mental health. With a background in psychodermatology, she supports people living with conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, acne, skin picking and hair pulling, helping them understand how these challenges interact with anxiety, low mood, trauma and identity.

Alongside her client work, Gretchen trains and consults with healthcare professionals, including dermatology and aesthetic nurses, on topics such as compassion fatigue, supporting distressed patients and communicating about appearance-related distress. She has created and delivered education for organisations such as BDNG, BAMAN and other professional networks.

Gretchen is also an emerging voice on “parasocial” relationships – the one-sided bonds we form with media figures and influencers – and how these intensify shame, comparison and isolation for women navigating peri- and post-menopause. Her courses and media work aim to bring nuance, evidence and compassion back into conversations about midlife, skin and hormone-related change.
